The academic pillar of Calvary Christian Academy is built upon a biblical perspective, through which students learn to view the world and their role in it. We strive for excellence, shaping our students to be world changers. We accomplish this with our educational professionals called by God to CCA. Our teachers receive ongoing professional development in Biblical integration as well as leading practices, allowing them to teach all subjects through a biblical lens and worldview. We set high academic standards and use a variety of resources, featuring leading technology, combined with carefully selected curriculum and research-based instructional practices to deepen students' intellectual skills.
CCA has developed its own set of academic standards that meet or exceed state and national standards. We ensure that our students are taught the concepts that will prepare them for high school, high stakes testing, and college. We teach from a biblical worldview that prepares students to make disciples and defend their faith. CCA utilized the following standards in the development of the CCA Academic Standards:
LCA standards (developed by Liberty University professors in conjunction with their K-12 school educators)
Florida Department of Education standards
International Society for Technology in Education standards
American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages standards
Curriculum Planning and Learning Management System standards
Department of Defense standards
We trust this comprehensive approach rooted in a biblical worldview will empower our students so that they can leave CCA as world-changers.
Through wisdom a house is built, and by understanding it is established. By knowledge the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches. —Proverbs 24:3-4
Philosophy of Education
Calvary Christian Academy is a ministry of Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale, adhering to the church’s mission, vision and values by mirroring it within an educational context. As such, CCA exists to MAKE DISCIPLES of Jesus Christ in a biblical school environment that prepares students to glorify God Spiritually, Academically and Socially. We also share CCFTL’s Statement of Faith and doctrinal principles, which reflect a covenant school emphasis (Deuteronomy 6), that is in partnership with parents in the education of their child (Proverbs 22:6).
CCA is designed to be a distinctively Christian school system and desires to "seek first His kingdom and righteousness" (Matthew 6:33), in all aspects of its mission, including but not limited to decisions on philosophy, standards, curriculum, and finances, as well as unforeseen future educational trends.
Calvary Christian Academy considers Jesus Christ to be preeminent in all we do (Colossians 1:18) and prayerfully desires to pursue world-class education in His name!
We exist to make disciples of Jesus Christ through a biblical school environment that prepares students to glorify God spiritually, academically, and socially.
“Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abide in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.”— John 15:4–5
“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”— Matthew 28:19–20
“For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ. For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body- whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free- and have all been made to drink into one Spirit. For in fact the body is not one member but many.”— 1 Corinthians 12:12–14
“Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.”— 1 Thessalonians 5:23
“Therefore I remind you o stir up the gift o God which is in you through the laying on of my hands. For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and o love and of a sound mind.” —2 Timothy 1:6–7
“And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth o insights. So that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Chris —to the glory and praise of God.” —Philippians 1: 9–11
