Bible

"Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."—2 Timothy 2:15

Our bible curriculum model is based upon a parallel of the spiritual growth of the church as seen in Acts and the developmental growth of our students. In Acts 1:8, Jesus tells His disciples that once they receive the power of the Holy Spirit, they will become witnesses who will take the gospel into the entire world. Our students are in the process of preparing to move out into the world of college and career. As they focus on their responsibility as disciples and ministers of Christ to put their faith into action, they will examine and make certain of their call, purpose and duty through training in the gifts and talents God has given them. This is strategically achieved through the following approach:

  • 6th grade: A study of the life and character of Jesus Christ.
  • 7th grade: A literary study of the gospels
  • 8th grade: A study of Acts and Revelation with an emphasis on missions.
  • 9th grade: A semester of the History and Authenticity of the Bible and a semester of Old Testament studies.
  • 10th grade: A semester of Church History and a semester of New Testament studies.
  • 11th and 12th grades: Elective courses chosen by preference of the student, including Family and Marriage, World Religions, Christian Worldview, Typology, and Apologetics.
This approach ensures thorough coverage of all the Scriptures with heavier emphasis on the most applicable sections for students preparing for family, college, and career.
