God’s Goodness Displayed Through Sacrificial Giving

Gifts can come in many forms. Some gifts are monetary, others are handcrafted, and others can meet a practical need. God often calls us to step out and offer the gifts He has given us to be used for a greater purpose, which in turn displays His goodness. Discover how two individuals gave what they had to meet a need and impact the CCA community.

“Let all that I am praise the Lord; with my whole heart, I will praise his holy name. Let all that I am praise the Lord; may I never forget the good things he does for me.” —Psalm 103:1-2

In this Psalm, David expresses his praise to the Lord as he recalls all the good things God has done. His posture of praise resonates as we reflect on how God has moved through CCA’s Arise and Build campaign – a vision to introduce new athletic and artistic spaces on campus where future generations of students could be discipled and grow in their God-given gifts.

As the final fundraising stretch nears its end, there is much to celebrate, because God’s goodness has shined brightly through the astounding generosity of so many in the CCA community.

More Than Monetary

“The people rejoiced, for they had given freely and wholeheartedly to the Lord.” —1 Chronicles 29:9

While many have chosen to make financial contributions toward the new Calvary Fieldhouse and Fine Arts Scene Shop, others have stepped up to the plate to offer tangible resources God has blessed them with.

Amidst the planning and praying, two gentlemen (who would like to remain anonymous) felt led to give what they had, which was the ability to provide the roofing materials and labor toward the construction of the Fieldhouse!

These in-kind donations advanced the progress of current and future projects, making it possible for this vision to come to fruition. Through athletic discipleship, students will be encouraged to honor God through their sport and to draw closer to Him.

One of these donors shared what this contribution has meant to his personal and professional life. “When I attended the dedication event for the Fieldhouse, it really became real. I thought to myself, ‘this is really happening!’ This is more than just a building, this is a sacred space,” he said.

Looking Ahead

Over the last few months, CCA parents, alumni, and even students have rallied together to close the financial gap for the Fieldhouse and Scene Shop by participating in a matching gift campaign. Thanks to this outpouring of generosity, only $742,000 remains to complete the Fieldhouse project! Students will begin to be discipled in this space during the second semester of the 2023-24 school year.

“All this effort, everything we are doing, will someday be for that one student who is going to hear about Jesus inside that building and go on to change the world for Him. You can’t put a price tag on that,” said the anonymous donor.

God has been faithful to meet and provide every need thus far, and He will continue to do so as we trust Him and press on toward His calling to make disciples. David’s posture of praise and thanksgiving is a reminder that God gives good gifts (James 1:17), and that when His people step out in faith, He is able to multiply what He’s graciously given to be used for His glory.

You can see the progress that has been made thus far in the Calvary Fieldhouse at CCA’s Homecoming game on Friday, October 27, 2023 at 7:00 PM. Families who’ve given toward this mission will be able to see their legacy bricks in the new legacy courtyards and spaces that evening.

Please join us as we continue to pray for this new space. If you feel led to give to this project with your gifts and/or talents, you can contact Jennifer Aluart at JenniferAl@CCAEagles.org.
