CCA Makes a Splash at the 2024 State Championships!

On Saturday, your CCA Eagles Swim and Dive Teams competed in Ocala at the FHSAA Class 2A Swim & Dive Championships, and brought home the hardware! We had 3 relays teams medal! Our Girls 200 Free Relay placed 4th and our 400 Free Relay placed 8th. Congratulations to Christina Paschal, Summer Poling, Dylan Kanell, Marley Tyner, and alternate Sarah Porras-Aguilar. Christina and Marley also both medaled in the 50 Free (Marley 6th, Christina 8th) and the 100 Free (Marley 7th, Christina 8th). Our boys team also made it to the podium, placing 7th in the 200 Free Relay. Congratulations to Uriah Campbell, Jeremiah Paiz, Daniel Cunha, Christian King, and alternate Robert Albertini. Christian also swam in the consolation final for the 200 Freestyle and placed 12th. Overall our girls team placed 6th out of 41 schools from around the state, and our boys team placed 24th our of 43 schools. This was our best team showing ever. Way to go, Eagles!!!!
