Calvary Christian Academy JV Football Triumphs Over Belen Jesuit In a thrilling Thursday night matchup on September 5th, 2024, the Calvary Christian Academy JV Football team emerged victorious over Belen Jesuit. The first half of the game was a defensive stalemate, with neither team able to break through. However, the tide turned in the third quarter when Calvary's Ryan Cedon hauled in a 65-yard touchdown pass from Carson Hartzell. Durham Wood's extra point gave Calvary a 7-0 lead. Late in the third quarter, Gavin Ganter added to Calvary's advantage with a 60-yard touchdown run, followed by another successful extra point from Wood. To seal the victory, Matthew Del Campo Gomez (MDCG) ran for a 35-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter. The entire Calvary Christian Academy JV defense played a crucial role in the win. Davin Joseph interception in the second quarter stopped a promising Belen Jesuit drive, while Dylan Mereshensky contributed with a 20-yard catch.
